Although having studied Buddhism as an undergrad in the late 80's and being very drawn to the discipline, my meditation journey began in earnest in the early summer of 2017. Finding myself in such misery and distress over the political and social climate of the time, I thought that there had to be a better way to handle it, and felt that the Buddhist meditative approach had the answer.

Fast forward to 2020: in the wake of the pandemic I became aware of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP) founded by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, and with a little prodding from a dear friend, was inspired to become a Mindfulness Meditation teacher. I expect to attain certification in February 2023, after which I have endeavors to offer instruction and drop-in sits in Colorado Springs, Colorado and on Maui, Hawaii.

In Colorado Springs my current offerings are through Rocky Mountain Insight, a Theravada Buddhist Dharma and Vipassana Meditation Center, that I consider my spiritual home.
